«The cities of Austin (United States), Braga (Portugal), Calí (Colombia), Changsha (China), Guadalajara (México), Karlsruhe (Germany), Kosice (Slovakia), Sapporo (Japan) and York (United Kingdom), members of the Media Arts Cluster of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network launched an open call to confirm their commitment and highlight the importance of cooperating and supporting art and creativity as a major force for sustainable development in these times of uncertainty.
The goal was for teams of two artists to develop a digital artwork based on an online artistic collaboration aligned with the theme ‘Human Responsibility’.
The artwork will be exhibited online through different platforms and physically displayed in different festivals of the participating cities as the pandemic conditions allow it.»
